Schedule

Class meets Thursdays 12:30 to 13:40 and Fridays 11:10 to 13:40, online (streaming). A few sessions are in person; those are marked with a star * in the table below. Trimester runs March 2 to April 30; the final project extends the schedule to June 5 (in-person memo).

  • March 2. Start of the academic semester / first bimester.
  • March 16 to 17. Add/drop window (modificación de carga académica).
  • April 13 to 18. First certamen week (no class).
  • April 30. End of first bimester; grade close.
  • May 4. Start of second bimester.

3 Mar 26–27 ENO + GRD: loading, cleaning, ICD-10 lookups, disease profiles. Tarea 1 due (Mar 26); Tarea 2 released.
4 Apr 2–3 Health data deep dive: rates, age groups, spatial mapping.
5 Apr 9–10 Certamen week (no class).
6 Apr 16–17 Cross-dataset ecological analysis at the comuna level. Tarea 2 due (Apr 16); Tarea 3 + Quiz 1 released. Quiz 1 due Mon Apr 20.
7 Apr 23–24 Modeling and integration: ecological regression, synthesis.
8 Apr 30 Tarea 3 wrap-up. Tarea 3 due (Apr 30); Final project released (May 9).
9 May 15 (no class) Anomaly-proposal gate. Anomaly proposal due (ungraded gate).
10 May 29 (no class) Repo + video deadline. Final repo + video due.
11 * Jun 5 In person. Handwritten memo (individual, 45 min, no AI / laptops / notes). Final memo (individual).
